I have been so excited for this moment! Lovely Heart Life proudly presents January’s “S is for Snow” Curriculum. You guys, I love the activities available in this file! I’ve tried to make this something that any parent/teacher can use. The curriculum is made for children ages 2-5 and most of the lessons can be modified to fit your child’s skill level. Remember, you’re not alone in this! Follow us on social media, because I will be giving ideas and examples of each activity and lesson leading up to January as well as throughout the whole month! If you ever have questions or need help modifying something, you can contact me OR comment on our Facebook page to get ideas from other moms and dads!
Even if you’re not a teacher and have no plans to home school your child or children, please still consider getting this curriculum. The activities have so many benefits and even if your child learns nothing (don’t worry, they will), it is still a WONDERFUL bonding experience. What fun memories you can make!
In October, I introduced Holt to the letter B and we made a B that looked like a bat. I swear that kid brings it up every. single. day! He remembers the fun we had sitting at his little table, in the corner of his room, with some crayons, paper, and glue. It’s an amazing memory that we can both remember for a long time. The real benefit from working with your child is the experiences you get to have together and the learning is just an awesome added bonus.
In this month’s file you will receive so many fun winter themed activities. I showed a few in my announcement video, which can be found on our YouTube page, but I’ll give you a sneak peek of a few more!
Some of my favorite activities are the recipes! There is a fun recipe for Mini Snowman Pizza’s that any child would be excited about making and eating. It’s super easy and shouldn’t make you pull your hair out when you let your child help.
One more activity that I want to share with you, requires the book called “Tracks in the Snow” by Wong Herbert Yee. In this activity, you’ll make puppets of each animal and use them to find out what animal is making the tracks in the story. So fun and easy! All you’ll need is the book, some crayons, popsicle sticks or straws, some glue and you’re good to go!
There is lots of fun to be had for the month of January! I hope you like all the activities that I’ve prepared for you and your child. Remember, this is meant to be a fun learning experience, that’s why it is called PLAY learning. I can’t wait to see how you all use the activities. Be sure to share and tag us!
